sample vials sticking to autosampler arm

Our autosampler arm (CTC PAL system) is often unable to fully release our autosampler vials after sampling. The syringe needle seems to get stuck in the septum. We've replaced the needle, calibrated X/Y/Z positions, tried different septa. Nothing helps. I suspect the springs in the autosampler arm assembly but cannot find a part number to try to replace them. Anyone know of that part number or a third party repair company I can contact? We don't have a service contract with Sciex so they won't answer my questions.

Hi Chemgrad19,

LabX has a site dedicated to lab equipment Service providers, which has an online directory of companies that service laboratory equipment. Here is a link to HPLC Autosamplers and the companies that can service and get you parts. You can request information from any of the companies.

Good luck!
