GC Stuck in Pre-Run
We cannot seem to get the gas chromatograph to make actual sample runs. Every time we attempt to load the method and start the run itself, it shifts into pre-run. We tried restarting the system, restarting the GC, changing the method, etc. Nothing worked.

I would try detaching and re-attaching the GC from the Run menu in TotalChrom Navigator. Or last resort you may have to reconfig the GC. Can you PING the GC and get a reply? Are all initial run parameters met on the GC itself (like oven temp, gas flow rates etc)?

Are you running this through Varian Star Workstation or some other software? Does the problem persist when running a sample directly from the keypad? Need more details in order to answer your question. Controlling software you are using, configuration, etc.
