Injector system

We are looking at buying a Waters Acquity UPLC, and it has a full loop injection system rather than the set-up that the H-Class or Waters Alliance has. Does anyone have experience with this and does it work well to not run a full loop injection?

We have 5 Acquity's. I maintain the analytical instruments and I can tell you that we run either full loop or partial loop and our scientists love the Acquity. I think once you try it you will wish you had gotten one sooner.

Hi I am sure your local Waters tech specialist can help you with this question to fully explain the benefits and limitations of the full loop system. The system does work well in partial loop mode although more care has to be taken with the wash solvents than the flow through design of the H-Class or Alliance. You will have to consider that in partial loop mode the recommendation is that the injection volume should be less than 50% of the total loop volume. When changing loops it is recommended that the two loop inlets are marked and kept in a consistent direction when replacing otherwise small voids may be experienced effecting the accuracy of injection. I Hope this helps Rob This response was provided by Robert Plumb
