digidata 1440 channel crosstalk

When recording action potentials on one channel in response to current injection as monitored on another channel, the action potentials appear (overlap) in the current trace as crosstalk. I have tried separating the channels eg 0 and 15 but have the same problem. How can I eliminate crosstalk? Thanks.
