Lamp Normalization Procedure

After replacing a lamp on a waters els I read you have to do a lamp normalization. It seems that only a service person can do it. This is just not something we can have done at the moment. Does anyone know the procedure or have access to a service manual for this instrument? I really don't need a response from a Waters Rep. saying to call for service. I have been working on various lab equipment for 30 years and most of this stuff is just not that difficult. When we need new equipment now that is the first thing I ask about as it should not take a service call to do routine maintenance. I have figured out the code to get me into the service area but now need guidance. Thanks for any help you can give.
