Zinc - Bismuth interference.

Hi all. Does anyone know if I prepare a set of standard solutions containing: * 200 ppm Bi - 20 ppm Zn * 400 ppm Bi - 40 ppm Zn * 600 ppm Bi - 60 ppm Zn Do they work or is there a major interference between them to keep into account? Or is there a major interference at those concentrations, which is better to prepare separately the solutions for each element? Thanks.

Sometimes the original set of manuals comes with a complete set of ICP-OES emmision lines, check it out for Zn/Bi interferences. Short of that you could prep a std soln of Bi and differant concentrations, run each within a method that contains both Zn and Bi and check for pos or neg Zn signal.  Adjust accordingly by using IEC's or switch to another Zn line.
