NO ROTOR error
Eppendorf 5804 centrifuge, software version 3.9. On starting a run, a NO ROTOR error is issued. The service manual suggests running SE 8 (rotor recognition test) and SE 9 (frequency converter test). SE 8 correctly identified rotors F-34-6-38 (RV=605, rotor # 14) and A-2-DWP (RV=149, rotor # 2). On running SE 9 (with FC on), the rotor appears to start to spin but abruptly brakes. If I rerun the test while spinning the rotor by hand, the rotor continues to spin at ~120 rpm until the test is stopped, suggesting that the drive motor is ok. I think the problem is a faulty frequency converter. Do you agree with this assessment?
