Err 317 following pipettor head swap

I'm getting an "Err 317" display on the machine following swapping the pipettor heads, which persists even when swapping back to the previous head. Also SoftMax 7.0 gives a 404 shutter error and refuses to connect. If anyone has any troubleshooting tips or insight it would be much appreciated
