Hydro LV drain valve operation error

I am using a Hydro LV dispersion unit with a Mastersizer 3000. I get an intermittent error..."Unable to perform drain valve operation." Sometimes I can go for a while without getting this error. The valve/ actuator itself seems to be functioning. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to diagnose/ fix it?
