Beckman J2-HS won't start

Working on a Beckman J2 HS and the vacuum pump was frozen so I replaced it. I now get the green light and the temp works fine. I go to hit the start button and nothing happens. When I turn on the centrifuge I do hear the lid latch solenoid clunk. This has the updated lid sensor with a magnetic reed switch and it does work. I have no documentation on this and I really need to get this going. I also checked the brushes and belt and they are fine.
