Monochromator error

The lab I work in has multiple Beckman DU 520s and 530s and out of the blue they will fail their wavelength calibrations during startup - then we receive either the error “24 - Monochromator” or “26 - Monochromator.” We sent two of these out to a third party lab to be diagnosed and fixed but they came back saying the same thing. Do these sound like they’re done for? I know Beckman no longer services them and I’ve read that they need to have a software update and cell holder alignment but that’s not available anymore. I’m guessing these are big paper weights then? Does anyone out there know how to fix this?
