Lid error

Hello, I am trying to use a vwr 2417R microcentrifuge and when the machine starts after several seconds appears the message Lid- , the machine speeds down and stops. Also the centrifuge is quite difficult to open and the lid spring. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I appreciate your recommendations. Regards
