Can’t pop open lid

I was working on an eppendorf 5415d centrifuge and forgot to put the emergency release string back in place. After using it for a bit, it got an error and now the lid will not open. The issue is I can’t open the centrifuge because the emergency release can’t be pulled. Is there any way for me to open it?
