Used machine

Its my 1st lab and clia certificate is on process, my budget is limited and im will be focusing on molecular (Tox , Uti , Respiratory) need help deciding buying used Thermo Scientific LTQ XL with ETD w/o attachments. I haven't work with the machine and didnt have business transaction with thermo scientific. Is it worth it buying it if I get a good deal ? does thermo scientific company can help me to complete my machine as LC/MS , do they have a good software support activating the machine for my lab In california ?
