Background lamp error

Hi All, I've been chasing an issue with my Shimadzu AA-7000. During setup i get a "D2 Lamp Error" code appear. I have replaced the D2 lamp however the error persists. When trying to line search the lamp flashes on but fails to stay lit. I have cleaned the socket with contact cleaner and a small pipe cleaner brush however this has not changed anything. Shimadzu suggested trying to run the machine with no background however this returns in-accurate results. This is quite frustrating as the machine is only 6 years old and has spent half that time down for various mantinence and repairs. Any ideas would be much appriciated. Cheers
