Error 78, then Error 88. Wiring connections to display board.

An Allegra 25R began giving an Error 78 message. I inspected the board and connections inside the front panel, then inspected the board inside the back panel. The board in the back had quite a lot of dust buildup around the cooling fan. I removed this dust. After powering back on, the 78 error was gone, but now was giving Error 88. When powering on, neither of the cooling fans spins, and the refrigeration fan spins about 1 time and then gives up. What would be the cause of these errors? Is there a relay on the power board that might have gone bad? Also: inside the front/display board is a graphic of the various connectors and where they connect to the board. Each connector is shown with the number 1 at the lefthand side. The connectors themselves have numbers 1, 2, 3, etc for each pin. Should the connector positions match the graphic with the connector #1 pin on the left? When connecting like this, it feels backwards.
