A good workhorse AA. Maximize your time with the install tech. DEFINITLY go take the PE AA training. Some of it is pretty basic, but the methods development takes time. Only buy the lamps and accessories you will really use. Remember that AA is sensitive, but GFAA is SLOW..... (10 min per sample). The EDL lamps are fussy. The "30 min" warmup time is about 4 hours in real life. After several years, we had a problem with the autosampler. Repair was fairly easy, as we could just disconnect the autosamplere and ship it to PE. Having to have a service tech come to your location is VERY expensive (probably for any instrument).
