compressed air for Q800

I am running somebody else's DMA (TA Q800).

They are using 55 PSI compressed air for the machine despite, the fact the operation info specifies 65 PSI.  I have pointed this out and they are reluctant to change, even though I am told that they have the capability.

SO my questions relate to the consequences of the low input compressed pressure.

What effects on the instrument?

What effects on the data?

Hello, You want to run equipmnet at what the manufacture recomends. The Q-800 uses an air bearing. Too low or too high of pressure may cause damage to the air bearing. Real important that you do supply clean, dry filtered air to the Q-800 == not doing so will score the air bearing.
