Discussion Category: Capillary Electrophoresis
For the last three years we have been working with a Beckman Coulter PA 800 plus capillary electrophoresis equipment. A month ago we detected an electric issue that we have not been able to solve yet.
The electric current takes a few minutes to stabilize. Moreover, we have seen during the runs abrupt increases of the electric current which last few seconds. Some of these increases occasionally reach 300 microamperes causing a premature stop of the run. We have already tried to solve this by cleaning the block-interface and replacing the capillary, the electrodes and the cartridge but none of these actions worked. We would really appreciate any advice or suggestion.
Thanks in advance
