Eppendorf Veriti cover removal

Hi Can anyone help, we have a Eppendorf Veriti and while moving from lab to lab some of the packaging and some loose screws that where in the box by mistake have worked there way into the Veriti Thermal cycler. We just want to remove the cover to get the loose screws out but removing the screws that hold the cover on dont seam to work.

Does anyone out there know how to remove the cover off a veriti?????
